I wouldnt push it past 160bhp unless you want to forge the engine

 

I thought the d series already have forged internals. Or was it the b series...
Oh well...

 

There was one done on civiclife a few years back that ended up with around 130bhp.

And if I remember correctly it had a few problems along the way too...

 

No engine has forged parts fitted unless you do it or get someone to do it.

 

for the time and money invovled in this i wouldnt bother just go for a B18c4 and then turbo that once your ready there good for a 300bhp daily

 

As said, based on return for investment a d B series conversion is much better. You could buy a full B18 conversion and turbo it for £3k, will happily take 300bhp as a daily. Ricky @ RaceTech runs 400bhp through and Aerodeck on standard internals.
