Fault Code Reader for Honda Civic 1.4i 2000

Hi

Does anyone know of a commercial hand held fault code reader that will work with a Honda Civic 1.4i petrol reg in UK in 2000? The data link plug has 5 pins and is not the normal 16 pin OBD 2 plug but I think that this is common on these cars. I have sourced from China a connecting cable that is said to convert a 5 pin Honda data plug to a ODB2 16 pin plug. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Thanks. It may do but I am not sure as I don't know if this vehicle is OBD2 compliant as the data plug has only 5 pins. This may not be an issue and it may be that someone in the forum has tried this before with a standard FCR using a converting cable and it has worked. I don't want to try someting that may blow the ECU up!
