Had this problem myself.

In the end got someone bigger and stronger than me to take it off! :lolno:

On a serious note though you could try using a metal tube or similar as an extension bar to get more leverage.

The problem is as the washer jet is at the end of the spindle all the washer fluid runs down and rusts the wiper in place.

 

haha yes i saw that looking through your thread the other day, i might have to try your method as im worried about breaking the glass :/ done that before not nice at all when youve gotta pay for it.

wasnt sure if any1 an easier way around it

 

Get a wiper removal tool, auto factors, Machine Mart and Halfords would be your best bet. It's basically a claw with a bolt that you tighten and it pulls the wiper off the spindle, will make short work of it.

 

Sounds almost like a hub puller, good idea, didn't realise they made tools like that for removing wipers!

 

so if i was to get 1 of this wiper removel tools it would crack the rear window as this wiper does not want to move its rusted on

 

No, it shouldn't make any difference what surface it's mounted on as it pushes on the spindle whilst pulling on the wiper arm.
