Hello Everyone,

This is my first post here.

I have a noise problem with my new 2007 Civic HB 1.8 Automatic. I did some research and It is probably coming from Input Shaft Bearing. Is that an expensive process? Also a budget friendly mechanic or garage advise would be great in London.

I am posting here a footage of the noise:

Thanks, stay safe.

I know this is a Honda page but this might help but I had the same noise in my corsa 1.3 CDTI took it the Vauxhall and they said it was the input shaft Bearing it used to make a noise in pretty much every single gear specially going up hill grinding what confused me about this it happened so suddenly wasn’t something that got worse over time anyway when I took it to the Vauxhall repair shop they quoted me about £5000 for a replacement box and obs clutch didn’t end up paying that sort of price lucky my brother knew someone who deals with cars managed to get me a recon box and a new clutch for £1300 so got that replaced then about a month later my DPF failed along with my turbo so bad luck hit me hard since then I bought a Skoda but done some hard research on there DSG gearbox and they are recommended to have a transmission oil change every 50000 miles as for getting the bearings changed I did ask around but has to go to a specialist for a rebuild and I was advised to get a recond box as it was just as much
