I've recently rebuilt my D16 turbo motor after cracking a piston. Unfortunatly now having ran in the new cam and pistons, the turbo seems to be overheating. Its been sat in the garage for 12 months and fully serviced before refitting. The oil delivery is there, but smoke is pouring from it after about 15 minutes. The block and radiator are hardly warm tho, any ideas?

im going to go with paul, as far as i know the only reason a turbo would smoke externally is if oil line was loose.

how long did you leave it to tick over, oil can take a few minuites to burn off.
