goodyear for all round. best grip out of all tyres i've used. the toyos are good, done about 20k miles with different cars with them and not had any problems at all. had them on the fiesta.
toyo's would be cheaper. http://www.mytyres.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.blackcircles.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. check those suppliers who can deliver and get them ordered and fitted at your local tyre place. blackcircles also have fitting places.
or go to your local one and see how much they can do them for, might get a deal!
raod noise has alot to do with the condition of the roads you are on also. WIth my old Potz, a stretch of road between 2 local towns was deafening, however on a `new posh road` the car was almost silent. My Yoko`s are much quieter though, softer compound
my ek has always had a small amount of road noise, especially up here in midlands, back home roads are so much nicer.
its the grip i notice the most, i just need to stiffen up chassis/sus to use all of grip
out of them , goodyears price does not come into it with tyres for me its your first point of contact and your most important with the black stuff
but overall ultimate tyres for me track and road were and are bridgestone potenza,s now thats a proper tyre ..
its all down to personal choice at the end of the day they are exspensive but i had them on a flame spitting UR quattro and they were fantastic grip and noise level not that it was a quiet car mind you..
used some semi slicks like the r888's (cant remember if they were them or not) on a test drive in a stage 1 impreza sti and gunned it from the lights dumping the clutch and it just went!!! no spinning or squeal whatsover. it was dry and sunny too! cant think that i now really want 4wd as my next car!!! only vtec 4wd i've seen is the honda legend! awwwww!
