I was just wondering if it is safe to start the engine without a rad attached to it, hence no coolant in the engine and run uit for a little bit.

The only reason I want to do this is that now I have th turbo manifold and turbo attached to my CRX  I want to bolt the new sump on and just make sure that the oil is feeding to the turbo properly and there are no leaks. Also just to see the turbo spooling for shits and giggles.

Reckon I should be alright just to run the engine for a few mins at most (only revving it a little) without the rad on because its a bloody hassle to drop the rad in and fill it up everytime!
