Hey all

Got a new headunit for xmas in my old civic (see into forum), but after a couple of months it died and I replaced it with a civic 06 sport.

Anyways I have a kickarse headunit I want to use, that will also hook up to my ipod. But how do I go about removing the stock stereo, and also where do I get the replacement console with DIN slot instead of moulded dash?

Heard you need to keep the stereo in the car as otherwise the screen for the radio / clock / AC etc wont function.

If anyone has done it, fancy posting a DIY tutorial? ;)

Cheers

If there are two small holes either side of the head unit you can push two wires in and it will pop right out. Some OEM Honda head units are screwed in at the back though for security and you'll have you take apart your dash to get at it.

You have to go Extra...
LONG proccess...

Start buy Removing the Rubber gaiter to ur Gear stick, then take away that console facia Part...
You will then see 2 Screws holding onto the Head unit Facia...

Sounds simple, really isnt!

Clocks, n date will be on the Head unit...Air conditioning isnt effected!
