Looking for some info on the rear brakes on my LSi. I was wondering what is needed to convert the rear brake drums on my Civic into brake discs? Are their any other Civic's with rear discs that might fit?
hi, was wundering this also, i have a ej9. upgradeing to the vti rear swinging arms and hubs would aloow me to run discs on the back, would just need the vti mastercyliner aswell, u might need to look into something like that.
I'm with EDD, the rear brakes account for 30% (give or take), not worth it. Get some decent 4 pots on the front (CTR/Prelude fit?). I had Hi Specs on my mk2 escort. Myy bruv has Wilwoods on his 3g Civic and thinks the same. BTW stoppies aren't possible although it would be fun. Google Smart car with motorbike engines
A proportional (sp) valve may be needed (poss M/C too), RallyDesign do univeral ones (although they are iffy with their service - I have only delt with them and had decent service but others haven't).
Just a quick question for you mate, what engine is in your LSI? your only need to stick rear disc's on is if you've change the D15 engine to either a B16a or B18c engine or bigger, otherwise a waste of time and money, however i can slighty understand if you've turbo'd the D15 engine, but! get hold of some integra type r or Mb6 VTi-s hubs, lower control arms, anti-sway bar, trailing arms, master cylinder, prop valve and booster etc etc that would do the trick, but take into consideration that changing to them will change your 4x100 to either 4x114.3 - 5x114.3
