It will result in better air/fuel flow as it removes any bumps or hold ups in the head, hence more power :)

How much more power would that give you out of a SOHC? is it really worth it?

If you are going to do that get a D16z6 head as well and plonk that on there!

with that N/A top end setup your gona be lucky if you make 130whp.

the most your ever gona make with out spending totally ridiculous money would be about 150whp.

just boost the bugger.

Yeah a decent turbo kit is going to cost you a lot but its well worth it tbh.

I am getting mine for 750 quid is a bargain really, don't buy shitty ebay stuff mind!

if you get the UK kits then yea, it's expensive and you need bits on top such as gauges, boost controlers, tune, injectors, fuel pump ect.

this is my actual setup which im starting to order end of this month, this has all the US prices converted at the current exchange rate and website to contact:

http://www.go-autoworks.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Go-autoworks full race turbo kit $2495 £1250
Walbro 225lh fuel pump $125 £63
Precision 440cc injectors X 4 $340 £172
Shipping $140 £73

Total $3100 £1558

http://www.xenocron.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Chipped OBD1 VTEC ECU P28 $230 £116
Custom basemap installed $25 £13
Shipping £23

Total $255 £152

http://www.d2mtuning.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
AEM “gauge type” wideband UEGO controller £193

http://www.rspec.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Air code turbo boost gauge £35
Air code oil pressure gauge £30
Air code oil temperature gauge £26
Oil pressure/temperature sender adaptor £23

Total £114

http://www.funkypower.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Greddy profec B spec II boost controller £255

http://www.quillertriumph.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Quiller triumph oil catch can and bracket £75

Now with the xenocron ECU and custom basemap, you will need to email this company and tell them what ECU you want (what ever your car has) and a full list of your setup so them can give you an accurate basemap, then all you will have to do is swap the ECU’s. you can however by the chipping kit and the chip with your custom base map on and install it yourself. if you also tell them your be running 10psi on 95 octane this should give you about 200whp, but this is not a permanent solution, you need to find a dyno and tuner in your area for a proper re map.

thats the part im stuggling with atm, the d16 will take 200-220whp all day long, but my local tuner says it wont and doesn't want to tune it :( "it wouldn't be responsable of them"

and tbh, im not sure how much i trust the english tuners, i ever only hear of fu*k ups tbh.

the basemap will do me till i find somewere though, just wont be running to full potenial.

I wouldn't run it on the base map for too long tbh mate you will end up damaging it.

220 WHP is really going to be pushing it as well without built internals I know that it will handle it but it really is stretching it maybe shoot for 180-190 mine is going to be 176 bhp with 150 Ibs/ft of torque which will be quick enough! Mind you my stripped CRX vs your EG is street trim weight wise is quite a bit of difference.

well all the basemap will do is just retard my timing and bump the fuel up to a safe level.

it will seriously take 220whp, i talk to alot who have been running 220whp or more for years on clapped out 160k mile engines. i have heard poeple rte the internals at 275whp but im not even considering that lol.

but the engine is only going to be there another year before i get to my full build.

what engine you going to run in the CRX?

how much does it wieght?

The engine the CRX is running is a D16a9 which is the D series DOHC non VTEC they are 130 BHP as stock.

The CRX is going to weight sod all probably around 850kgs or less fully stripped :D
