Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a good condition '99 1.6 Civic Coupé VTI VTEC with 70k on the clock. Does £2,500 sound too much? Apparently there's not many of them in the UK?

Thanks. :)

Honda Civic Coupe (95-02) 1.6i VTi 2dr 1999 (V )70,000 miles

Dealer £2,100
Private £1,930
Part exchange £1,645
Trade £1,495
Cost new £15,580

For Well made and well equipped, practical
Against Not the best to drive

Reliability Superb if serviced correctly. Rear suspension bushes and exhaust rear section wear quickly. Cambelt change is vital at 72k miles/6yrs

I previously checked the car price on parkers too, but this is what puzzled me...

Apparently the car in question was only manufactured between 99-01, therefore the price range is based on a different (non-VTI?) coupé during 95-02, is it not?

Parkers will try and be as general as possible to include most model specs within the same production group. You're right about the EM1 only being made between 99-01 though :)

Although some may be late registered last of the line models.
