Greetings from Sweden,
My Honda is build in the Uk so I thought you might be able to help me.
The ECU on my car have a connector which looks like an OBD1, but people say it is an OBD2 board in it.
this is what it looks like:
http://www.allcarelectronics.com/index. ... b7fb13c518" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now for the DLC connector there is no 16p OBD iso connector, instead it is a 5p honda thingy.
Pin 1 is Data, 4 and 5 are GND and +12v.
It looks to be compatible with the ISO connector:
where Pin 1 is GND, pin 7 is K-line, and pin 16 is +12V

Can I connect scantool if I make an 5p(honda) -> 16p (OBD/ISO) adapter?

thank you for reply
//Peter.

I suppose the comms are pulse modulated half duplex. +12V high, and GND low. So even if the ECU doesn't understand the OBD2 protocol I can't ruin it atleast.
