Hi guys hopefully i will be able to show off a civic soon

Screen name kinda gives away the name, im based in Kent and im currently a Mercedes technician and trained engine and gearbox specialist. Do a lot of tuning/modifying in my spare time (hopefully will be of some use to you all!)

I am currently looking for a nice useable second car and turned my sights towards a mk4 vt/mk5 esi or vti/mk 1 or 2 CRX

Get a CRX! You will love it, although I have only driven mine for about 60 miles since I have had it :(

quite like eg hatch or ef coupe's

would like a crx but they are up for silly money, no justification over any other vtechs for that money

Right slightly embarrased to say this but i dont quite understand all the civic terms....

MB6?
EG, EJ, EK etc.....

Also a few questions for you.....

is SOHC Vtech crossover noticable and is it worthwhile over non-vtech D series engines?
What is the difference between B18C4 lump and B18C1?
What offers more driveability the B18C4 or the B16B2/B16A?

Also found a 2000 MB6 Vti-s now :) However i cannot find any info on the Vti-s and how to identify them as genuine? its all very easy to stick a few splitters, wheels and badges on!

Check the VIN plate and cross reference it with a guide the genuine VTIS's will all fall within a certain number.

It is likely that all the VTIS's were created in sequential order as they were a limited run, I'm not 100% sure on this though.

So they would be registered on different years? Year range varies from 98-2000
