Been planning/pricing up a new system for the civic. Not bothering with a sub as I don't need much that much bass. Thinking of running something like:

Headunit:Alpine CDE-103BT (Bluetooth, Ipod and Multi illumination)
Front speakers: 6.5" Alpine Type R Components
Amp: Rainbow iPaul 2.400 or Alpine PDX 2.150
Cables: Stinger SWK4 4 Gauge wiring kit, 12 gauge speaker cable
Deadening:Skinz 3 step system

All speakers will be in factory positions, tweeters will be in either A Pillars or mirror covers

Opinions please, advice please.

tbh it seems fine. just make sure that you mount the mids properly and solidly. If you dont you can loose a huge amount of midbass.
You might also want to get enough deadening to do the outer and inner skin of both doors as this will help a huge amount with the quality of they system and the amount of midbass produced

take a look at my post, i have the type r componets installed, and im sahowing how i did it. Id recommend a 10" sub just to fill in the bass to give the all round audable experience. And good idea on not bothering with rear speakers, the stadard ones are fine for a bit of rear fill, u dont need loud noise xomin from behind your head, ur ears are designed to listen from the front!
