My friends civic has gone bang.. looks like cam chain has snapped. 110k on the clock.

No compression in any cylinders (1.4 i-dsi L13a7 engine, 2006 gen 8)

I've got another engine, Cylinder 4 was down on compression, found rear coil pack broken. On engine strip down, found exhaust valve sooted up.
Cleaned valves, tested compression and now have 190psi in each cylinder and leak down test of 15%. All reasonable?
I will be changing the chain on the replacement engine too.

I intend to put this engine in the dead car...

So question time...
Does anyone know if the engine (and gearbox, as one) can be taken out from the car via the top using an engine hoist?

Any complications??
