Hi,

Im installing an alpine head unit into a 6th gen civic. The problem is the old pioneer works fine but when I put in the new alpine it blows the back-up/radio fuse under the bonnet.

It doesnt blow any other fuses, is the back-up fuse the one providing a constant live to the head unit? I've tried replacing for a short period only higher amperage fuses upto 15A but it keeps blowing them, any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.

The headunit was working fine when it was taken out of another car a few days ago. Same as the install on the last car, just used the standard harness to iso adapter available from halfrauds etc. and whereas on the other car, no problems, this one seems to blow the fuse and only the back-up fuse not the main radio one..... very odd.
