I had a brief search, so please let me know if this has been covered already and I missed it.

I want to improve the handling on my 04 plate CTDI 5-dr, without getting into coilovers or bush replacements. I don't want to spend much money, or need a re-alignment that I already did recently.

Has anyone replaced the rear anti-roll bar with a stiffer unit, and what did they think of the results?

It occured to me that the EP9 Type-R must have had a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, and second hand ones are cheap. Has anyone fitted one to an EU9, and what do you need to get it to fit?

Thanks!

Just to report:

I installed the Whiteline rear ARB and it has improved the handling immensely, it's not a go kart but the body roll has been much reduced and it can be driven at speed round corners with much more confidence. I don't think the ride is any worse.

No strange noises in the 1500 or so miles since I fitted it.

I still have it on the lowest setting, so might try the stiffer setting one day.
