Hi All,

Anyone know what might cause a hot starting problem (starts after its cooled down)....

then after a week a cold starting problem (starts after fiddling with the vacuum hoses and leccy bits)...

then after another week it does not start at all?

Car is a Civic 1.5 VTEC-E 1997, but I think this problem is a general problem.

Tia,
Bav

Update -

Gave the car in to a garage and turns out that the problem was...

a burnt out ECM/ECU unit which wasn't...
sending the correct signal to the fuel pump, so....
no fuel to engine!

Luckily the unit was repairable rather than having to buy a brand new one !

Possible causes like the battery is weak or the connections at the starter are corroded. Or it might be that the cables inside prevents the current from reaching the starter.
