Hi all, just looking for some advice. My car broke down at the start of the week, wouldn't move, wouldn't shift gear, made alot of people I was blocking on the road very unhappy, that sort of thing. I got the car taken to Honda and they reckon the issue of with the Actuator Assembly that controls the i-shift switching gears. Problem is the part is no longer in production at its a 2010 model, I'm going to have to shill out the best part of £1.5k to get it fixed with a new part, which is probably as much as the car is worth. There is also no guarantee its that part, I basically have to buy it and if its not that tough luck, though they say they're sure. Has anyone had a similar experience with this kind if thing, is it worth replacing the car, will fixing the actuator lead to some more problems closely down the line, or could I still get more years out of it?
