Hey, im Sean just joined so thought id get cracking with some pics and an introduction to my car.

I finally got my car after seeing it being driven around in my town for 3 years and wanting it the whole time, and straight swapped it for my 1.1 VTR Replica Saxo. ha! anyways it might not be to the taste of everyone (especially the JDM fans), but im happy with it and its not finished yet!

Ive just done a full engine swap, as my engine got water in it and obviously was screwed. Its a 1994 ESi, so for ease and financial reasons i stuck with the D16Z6 engine. Luckily, i managed to source one locally, which had done 67,000 miles, and had been owned by the same guy for 15 years, who is now 85. As you can imagine, i was pretty chuffed, especially when i got told i could have it for £100!!

So, heres a link to my photobucket for pics of the swap happening, and ill get some pics up of my whole car in one piece up tomorrow.

http://s255.photobucket.com/albums/hh13 ... ter=images" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Spec at the moment:

Engine:-

D16Z6 freshly swapped
Fidanza Lightened Flywheel
Exedy Stage 1 Performance Clutch
Power Boost Valve (temporarily off)
Chipped ECU
Powerflow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust
AEM V2 induction kit - sounds awesome in VTEC

Exterior

Painted Mini Cooper Metallic Blue
Lowered 40mm
18" Dare V2 alloys
Kingdom Developments front bumper
IBR Designs Rear lip
Flushed Boot with reg plate relocated to rear bumper
F50 bonnet (coming off very soon)
Tinted windows
Fully colour coded
M3 Mirrors (also gettin changed soon)

Think thats about it, its due a respray soon cos people in my town are wankers and like to key cars.

Sorry for the length lol

Hey mate, welcome to the forum!

Cars looking good!!

OH MY GOD thats such a sweet deal on the engine!!!
Iv'e got a flat 1.5i in mine which has done nearly 150,000 miles! Need to get a swap done soon! Might get the same as you.. want v-tec.

Im also loving the colour, and I agree that it may not be liked by the JDM fans lol!
Personally not a fan of the whole JDM thing anyway!

So yeh, welcome to the forum. If you have any knowledge you can add then stick it in the relevant sections.. also if you have any good DIYs, thats would be good!!

Enjoy!

I'm liking that EK because I have almost the exact car. Haven't colour-coded mine yet though (coming soon) but looks awesome with those wheels.

thats one of my faves aswell lol

Ryan - ive declared alloys and bodykit and my insurance, i wasnt specific cos they said any aftermarket bodykit is covered then, so if anything happens ill just say its a complete kit!

i havent done my engine yet, i havnt had chance, but i will do soon lol, although tbh if anything did happen, its the same engine anyways!

im pretty happy with my insurance tbh:

18 years old, my first own policy so 0 NCB, mum and dad as named drivers (not that theyre allowed to drive it haha), TPFT, with added option of being covered to drive ANY privately owned car (awesome) = £1189. it is quite a lot, but then it is a group 14 car and i was only 18!

tbh mate i dont know what difference my declarations made cos i didnt try it without them! http://www.bell.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. give them a shot.

BUT - that price i paid was a one-off payment, which bell specialise in. if i wanted to pay monthly it would have been just under 1800. :(
