because its a ohc (over head cam) the chances are its wrecked but hondas are better than most it may sill run
my old mk3 escort cvh ran after the belt snapped.
are you prepared to rebuild it?

when the timing belt snaps you risk forcing a valve into the top of the piston. i wouldnt buy one personally. could be a big job

rebuild is not a problem, i can do that myself, but it needs other stuff as well. if it was a case of just a timing belt then it would be just about viable i think, its a bit borderline tho.

I'd need to buy it first tho, its on ebay for £200, seems a bit risky to get my money back if i buy it, fix it and sell it on.

Tbh mate they arn't the best engines to start with, if you want to build a D series you should build either a D16a9 (out of a 1.6 16v CRX) or a D16z6 (Out of a ESI Civic/CRX)
