hey guys,

tried searching the forum but could not find anything.

just got back from the mechanic who confirmed i am getting error P1331 Crankshaft Position Sensor. he cleared the code, but the fault came back when turning the engine back on.

i have changed the glow plugs and Camshaft sensor but still getting the glow plug light on dashboard and will not go away! i have tried disconnecting battery to reset ECU.

can anyone tell me the location of the Crankshaft position sensor on my Diesel? is it the same as the Petrol models? The Haynes manual does not list the Crankshaft position sensor for Diesels only Petrol.

Is it hard to change? Has anyone done this?

Thanks guys.

Look on top of the black plastic timing belt casing on the drivers side of the engine and you'll see a plug that point forwards and up at about 45 deg.

If you go to the chapter in the Haynes on removing the timing belt it's mentioned in there

If you look in the faq or stickys either in here or Civic Discussion there is a link to the Honda workshop manual which includes a troubleshooting guide.
