Hi,I have a 1lt anto sr vtec 55.000miles my warranty ran out in May & I called July to tell them about the problems which is all to do with the wet belt issues, & because I didn't have it serviced with honda they say won't honour it ,so I have to either pay up thousands of pounds or right the car of !! How can they get away with this ,!! This has been a problem for some time, they should have notified all owners about this before most ran out of warranty!! Um I wonder way !! Any help out there please I cannot right of a £15.000 car ??

You didn't have it serviced before this year, for how long?
It was serviced by honda right up to when covid started, I bought the car in 2022 and it was of the road due to cosmetic damage is was not involved in a crash, had the car resprayed and all done up professionally,
(No engine damage) I had it serviced by my garage yearly this year ,then 4 weeks ago took it to honda due to this wet belt issue, I took it to them on a Monday & they only then tool me they had just received a bulletin the Friday before regarding the issues they were have with the 1lt engines, however they have known about this for some time ( my car is an auto ) they say the belt is consumable & that I should have had it changed, Why !! 55.000 miles, so they say either I pay for repair or have to wright the car off . I know there are things I should have done however I think this wrong. Thanks for getting back to me.

Just going back over my paper work, I bought the car in November 22 and was back on the road in February 23 it then went to honda & was there for approximately 6wks ,nothing was mentioned about any of the issues they were having with the 1lt ,! My warranty ran out in May 23 so had it have been mentioned it would have been within the time frame

how can they just expect costomers to right off there cars when is is they fault thay have known about this issue for some time , and mine is an auto which they say is not covered only manual,
there is something clearly wrong here , anything legal we can do as a group possibily , we as costomrs are thousands of pounds out of pocket !!!!!! any help
