haha right i will remember the capitals with VTEC

that is really good i think for mpg and tax! better than what i currently pay.

i am not all that clued up to be honest.

are there many different model 1.6 VTEC models?

this is probably really annoying me asking these questions but thanks for the replies

Re: 1.6 civic vtech running costs?

you might not get more than 30/32, depends on the condition of the car (servicing, tire pressures), the drivers attitude to using the right pedal and brakes and if its modified or not, which mine isn't. im sure anything lame like an induction kit can lower the mpg you get.

there is the lsi, esi or some code like that on the back of the 1.6's. theres a link

my proper code shape is an ek4, the slower ones are called ek3....

I have the slower ones :( not so slow tho!! haha.

on my honda manual it brings a sheet with all of hondas cars to tat date (1997) with their MGP on it.

il double check 2moz, but sure the ek4's have an all round town driving of 32pmg and motorway at 50mph of 48mpg and motorway at 75mph at 44mpg.

like i said il re check tat 2moz for ya mate.

Nuno.

No, I'm saying a VTi will do 0-60 in about 7.3s

With the B16A2 in the DX, which is 150kg lighter it'll be more like 6s.

EG3s are hideously slow, as advertised by my 18.7s run at Santa Pod at japshow finale.

I get about 10-15mpg on average. If doing a long distance with motorway driving I can get 35-40 though :D
