2005 civic ex d16v1 sohc 5dr. 210,000 miles serviced as per schedule no problems until now.

symptoms:- has become almost twice as thirsty for petrol, high revs but very slow acceleration from stationary esp. uphill at a give-way. takes an age for the idle to settle upon morning start-up. idles almost up to 1500 and as low as 400 when stationery. CEL light comes on - shows egr fault. changed egr, which was not like brand new but not as carboned up as i'd imagined, cleaned intake manifolds again not as bad as imagined, light came back on after about 60 miles.

last bit of work carried out was to replace the condenser and compressor for air con
    MOT is due next week!

my next thought is to change the o2/lambda sensor.
